Part 8

Good Morning. Welcome to part 8. So you have now completed the first repeat of the pattern. Rows 2 – 40 set the pattern. Repeat the pattern twice more and then fasten off. Part 9 – and the start of our border will be released on Monday 25th May – No rush though it will always be available!

Part 1:

Colours used today – Peacock, Old Rose, Apple and Berry

Peacock.

Row 2: 2ch, 1 dc in every stitch. Turn

Peacock Stitch

Row 3: Change to Old Rose. 1ch. 1 dc in 1st stitch. * skip 4 sts, 9dtr in next stitch, skip 4 stitches, 1dc in next stitch. Rep from 8 to end of row.  DON’T TURN! Fasten off.

Row 4: Join Apple to the beginning of row 3. 4ch, 4dtr in next stitch, then *miss 4 sts, 1dc in next, miss 4 sts, 9dtr in next, rep from * to last cluster. Miss 4sts, 1dc in next, miss 4, in last st 5dtr. DON’T TURN! Fasten off.

Row 5: Join Berry to the beginning of row 4. 1 ch. 1 dc in next 3 sts, 1htr in next, 1tr in next, *1htr in next, 1 dc in next 7sts, 1htr in next st, 1tr in next and rep from * to last 5 sts. 1htr in next, 1 dc in next 4 sts. TURN

Row 6: 3ch, 1tr in each stitch, TURN.

 

Part 2:

Colours used today – Grey, Amber, Old Rose and Pale Petrol.

Granny Clusters

Row 7: Join Grey. 3ch. 1tr in same place.  *miss 2, 3tr in next st. Rep from * to last 3 sts. Miss 2sts, 2tr in 3rdch of previous row. TURN

Row 8:Change to Amber 3ch, 2tr in space from row below.  3tr in each space to last 2 sts. 1tr in top of 3ch from previous row. TURN

Row 9: Change to Old Rose. 3ch, 1tr in next space. 3tr in every space to last space. 2tr in space, 1tr in last stitch. DON’T TURN! Fasten off.

Moss Stitch

Row 10: Join Grey to the beginning of row 9. 2ch  (counts as 1dc and1ch) *miss 1 st, 1dc in next st, 1ch. Rep to end of row ending with 1dc in last st. TURN

Row 11: Change to Pale Petrol.  1ch(counts as 1dc), *1dc in next 1ch space, 1ch. Rep from * to last st. 1dc in last st. TURN

Row 12: Change to Grey. 2ch (counts as 1dc and 1ch). *work 1dc in next 1ch gap, 1ch. Rep from * to end of row. 1dc in last st. TURN.

Row 13: Change to Pale Teal. As row 11. TURN.

 

Part 3:

Colours used today: Cream, Peacock, Duck Egg, Apple, Amber, Berry

Special stitch – Bobble – 4tr in next st, take hook out and put in space before the 1st tr, put stitch back on hook and pull through, 1ch.

Row 14: Change to Cream. 3ch, 1tr in every st and 1ch space to end of row. TURN

Row 15: 3ch. 1tr in each st.

Bobbles

Row 16: Change to Peacock. 3ch. 1tr in next 2 sts. *Make bobble, 1tr in next 3sts. Rep from * to end of row. TURN.

Row 17: Change to Duck Egg. 3ch. 1tr in every stitch. TURN

Shell Stitch

Row 18: Change to Apple. 2ch, miss 2sts *5tr in next st, sk2, 1dc, sk2 rep from * to last 4. 5tr in next st, sk 2, 1dc in last. TURN

Row 19: Change to Amber. 3ch *2tr in same place. Sk 2, 1dc, sk 2. 5tr. Rep from * to last 6. Sk2, dc in next, 3tr in last st. TURN

Row 20: Change to Berry. 2ch.*Sk 2, 5tr, miss 2, 1dc. Rep from * to last 6. Sk 2, 5tr, sk2, 1dc in last st. TURN.

Part 4:

Colours used today: Grey, Old Rose, Cream, Pale Petrol,

Row 21:  Change to grey 3ch (counts as 1 tr), 1tr in every stitch (151 stitches at end of row)

Cable Stitch

Row 22:  Change to Old Rose 4ch (counts as 1 dtr), 1dtr in next stitch, *miss 2 stitches, 1 dtr in next 2 stitches, working back into the first stitch you missed, make 1dtr and then 1dtr in the second stitch you missed. Repeat from * to end of row  (37 cables) then 1 dtr in last stitch. Turn.

Row 23: Change to Cream 4ch (counts as 1dtr), 1 dtr in next 2 stitches, * miss 2 stitches, 1 dtr in next 2 stitches, working back into the first stitch you missed, make 1dtr and then 1dtr in the second stitch you missed. Repeat from * to end of row (37 cables). Turn.

Elizabeth Stitch

Row 24: Change to Pale Petrol 3ch, miss 1 st, insert your hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, back into the same stitch and pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook. *ch1, skip 1 st, insert your hook into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, back into the same stitch and pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook. Rep from * until the end of the row, turn.

Row 25: ch 3, *insert your hook into first ch 1 space, pull up a loop, yarn over and back into same space, pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook, ch 1; repeat from * across the entire row with the last stitch being worked under the turning chain, turn.

 

Part 5

Colours used today: Duck Egg, Amber, Peacock

Elizabeth Stitch

Row 26: Change to Duck Egg ch 3, *insert your hook into first ch 1 space, pull up a loop, yarn over and back into same space, pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook, ch 1; repeat from * across the entire row with the last stitch being worked under the turning chain, turn.

Row 27: ch 3, *insert your hook into first ch 1 space, pull up a loop, yarn over and back into same space, pull up another loop, yarn over and pull through all four loops on the hook, ch 1; repeat from * across the entire row with the last stitch being worked under the turning chain, turn.

Star Stitch

Row 28: Change to Amber Ch 2, pick up loop in front strand of 2nd ch from hook, then pick up a loop in the back strand of same ch, pick up loop in each of next 3 dc, yo and through all 6 loops, ch 1, *pick up a loop in eye of last star, pick up loop in back of last loop of star, pick up loop in same dc as last loop of star, pick up a loop in each of next 2 dc, yo and through all 6 loops, ch 1, rep from * across, ending with htr in last sc. Turn

Row 29: Ch 1, 1 dc in htr, 1 dc in eye of next star st, 2 dc in eye of each star st across, ending with 1 dc in top of turning ch, turn.

Row 30:  Change to Peacock 3ch (counts as 1 tr), 1 tr in every stitch (151 in total)

Part 6

Colours used today: Apple, Pale Petrol, Berry and Grey

Popcorn Stitch

Popcorn stitch – Yarn over hook, into 1ch space, yarn over and pull it through. Yarn over and through 2 loop (2 left on hook), *yarn over, through same 1ch space, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and through 2 loops (3 left on hook). Rep from * twice more so you have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through everything.

 

Row 31: Change to Apple Ch 3 (counts as 1dc and 1 ch), *Miss 1 st, 1dc in next, 1ch rep from * to last st, 1 dc, Turn

Row 32: 3ch, *popcorn stitch in next 1ch space, 1ch. Rep from *to last 1ch space1tr in last 2 stitches, turn.

V Stitch

Row 33: Change to Pale Petrol 3ch, miss 1 st * (1tr, 1 ch,  1tr) in next st, miss 2 rep from * to last st,1 tr in last st. turn

Row 34: Change to Berry 3ch, *(1tr, 1ch, 1tr) in next  1ch space of row below, rep from * to last 1 ch sp from row below. 1 tr in last st of row. Turn.

Row 35: Change to Grey 3ch, 1 tr in 1st st, *(1tr, 1ch, 1tr) in next  1ch space of row below, rep from * to last 1 ch sp from row below. 1 tr in last st of row. Turn.

 

Part 7

Colours used today: Cream, Duck Egg and Peacock

Spike Stitch

Spike stitch – yarn round hook, place hook into 1ch space from 2 rows below. Yarn over and pull through, yarn over and through 2 loops, yarn over and through 2 loops. Make sure you don’t pull the yarn too tight when you are working into the 1ch space.

Row 36: Change to Cream 3ch, 1 tr in next 2 sts, *1 ch, miss 1, 1tr in next 3 sts, Rep from * to end of row. Turn.

Row 37: as row 36.

Row 38: Change to Duck Egg 3ch, * 1ch, miss 1 st, 1tr in next st, 1 spike stitch in next stitch, 1tr in next stitch. Rep from * to last st, 1tr, turn

Row 39: as row 36 ending with 1 tr in last stitch.

Row 40: Change to Peacock 3ch, 1 spike stitch into row 38, 1 tr in next space, *1ch, miss 1 st, 1tr in next stitch, 1spike stitch, 1 tr. Rep from * to end or row. DO NOT FASTEN OFF.

 

Rows 2 – 40 set pattern. Repeat twice in total. Then work row 2 once more and fasten off.
