Lockdown Blanket Crochet Along Info and Part 1

Millie FurbyCrochet Patterns

Welcome to our Lockdown Blanket Crochet Along

Well, what can we say about 2020 so far?! It has definitely been a dramatic month or 2. So with all the changes we have had to face in mind, I decided to create a crochet along for you all. Hopefully it will help keep you all slightly sane over the next few weeks/months.

When will it be released?

The first part will be released here on Friday 24th April in the morning.

Following parts will be released on Mondays and Fridays. There are 8 parts. All of them will stay available on here.

What materials do I need?

The pattern was written using DK weight yarn, but obviously you can use any weight, just select your hook accordingly.

We used 18 balls of DK weight yarn – Majestic by King C0le in shades – Apple, Duck Egg, Amber, Old Rose, Berry, Pale Petrol, Peacock, Grey, Cream – 2 balls or 242m of each colour.

I am also creating a rainbow one using King Cole Big Value DK.

You will also need a 4mm crochet hook.

What size is the blanket?

The blanket is approx 90cm by 115cm. If you would like to make it larger I would recommend doubling the quantity of chains you start with. You could also make it larger by using a thicker yarn.

Other information

The pattern is written in UK terms.

I will link videos of new techniques and stitches where necessary.
