Part 10 – The Final Edging!

Well we are at the final part of our CAL. I really hope you have enjoyed it and share with me the photos of your progress and completed blankets.

So by now you should hopefully have 153 stitches on the shorter edges and 190 on the longer edges, with 1dc, 2ch, 1dc in the corners.

For the final round I used Pale Petrol.

Special Stitches –

Tr5TOG– treble 5 together:

Yarn Over (YO), insert hook, YO, pull back through, YO, pull through two loops, *YO, insert hook into SAME space as before, YO, pull back through, YO pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * 3 more times. YO and pull through all 6 loops. Then SS in the same stitch.

Join in a corner leading to a short edge with 1ch, tr5tog, *1dc in next 5 sts, tr5tog, rep from * along the edge, when you reach the corner, put 1dc, tr5tog in it. Miss 1st of the long edge, work from * along long edge. Continue working your way round the blanket. SS and fasten off.

Sew in the ends.

Thank you so much for joining in our lockdown crochet fun.
